I couldn’t believe it when I heard the news—that one of my favorite authors, Vince Flynn, had succumbed to prostate cancer at the age of 47. He and I are exactly the same age. Vince was a supreme story teller. He wrote the kind of political suspense that I could only hope to emulate with my Taskforce Series.
While writing The Protector, I read and studied three of his outstanding novels: Pursuit of Honor, Extreme Measures, and Act of Treason.
