It seems only natural that I should pen military romances and not just medieval tales. I have been surrounded by the military all my life, from early childhood onward. My father was a Judge Advocate General in the US Air Force before transitioning to the civil service. I grew up overseas, going to international and American schools with other “Army Brats.” I married an Army officer to become an officer’s wife, experiencing first hand military traditions and protocol. Following his unexpected death, I remarried—this time an enlisted officer of the US Navy. He retired after twenty years of service to this fabulous country. Thanks to him, I get to work out at the base gym and shop at the commissary. I fell in love with military romances when I read Suzanne Brockmann’s first Troubleshooters book, The Unsung Hero. Since then, I’ve read and reread all her books. She is a huge source of inspiration for me and a really neat person as well! I sincerely hope my military love stories bring you, readers, as much diversion as Suzanne’s books have brought me. Where to Meet MarlissComing soon! |
